Our Initiatives

Creative Connections
Creative Connection is one of our initiatives that is done in coordination with local community agencies, sponsors and our valued volunteers.
They are held on a quarterly basis, and we invite all those that struggle with mental health, and those who support someone struggling to join us for these fun and meaningful events.
These sessions are intentionally designed as a chance to explore creativity, find calm, and connect with others in a supportive, judgment-free environment.

Letters Of Hope
Each letter carries more than ink on paper — it carries hope, light, and love into places that need it most. Through the Letters of Hope Initiative, your words reach those who are struggling with mental illness, and those who find themselves isolated, hospitalized, or incarcerated.
You may never meet the person who receives your letter, but your message can remind them that they matter, that they are not forgotten, and that there is still goodness in the world.
We are in desperate need of volunteers to write and send 10 uplifting cards or letters to those who are hospitalized or incarcerated due to the complications of mental illness. Some people go through treatment without a single visitor. No cards, no calls, no signs that someone cares. Visits from family and friends are often few or nonexistent.
That’s where Letters of Hope comes in. This initiative was created to reach those who don’t have family or friends showing up for them. Each month, we send handwritten letters filled with love, encouragement, and support — simple reminders that they are not alone and that they are part of a community that cares deeply.
Thanks to a generous donation from a few dedicated volunteers, we’ve been able to get this program off the ground and write/send letters once a month.
But here's the truth: the need is bigger than what two people can meet. Our state hospital has just increased their bed space from 600 to 700 people. We’re currently only able to send letters to a small group of the most vulnerable patients, and many others are still waiting for a letter of hope.
Please help us meet this need.
